Begin your journey by stripping bark from kōzo (paper mulberry), pounding it into fibers, and preparing the raw pulp by hand—just as artisans have done for centuries.
Then, form your own sheets of washi paper and finish by crafting a hand-rolled scroll ( makimono).
This is not just papermaking—it’s a rare chance to experience the full process from nature to artifact.

By Car: About 1 hour from central Tokyo.
By Train & Taxi: About 10 minutes by taxi from Musashi-Itsukaichi Station.

→About 15 minutes to Hinode Washi
→Your “isekai” (otherworld) adventure begins at 10:00 AM!
After the Program:
→From Tsuru-Tsuru Onsen, take the bus to Musashi-Itsukaichi Station (about 20 minutes, departs once per hour).
The last bus leaves at 8:00 PM.

- 12:00 – Ninja Training and Original onigiri lunch (Ninja-meshi) in the traditional irori (hearth) room
- 14:30 – Samurai Horseback riding through forest trails
- 16:45 – Relax in Tsuru-Tsuru Onsen, then dismiss on site
- For Train Travelers: Bus stop is right in front of Tsuru-Tsuru Onsen (20 min to Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, once per hour; last bus at 8:00 PM)
